Mavis Forbes
I am a mother of two kids and a grandma two boys. When my youngest child left home I needed to find something to keep myself busy. I went into dressing teddy bears and other crafts for seven years. Then my friend and partner Joyce Miller asked me to go into the costume business. I have been doing costumes for six years and enjoy every minute of it. It has been a rewarding business in so many ways.

I am a mother of two children, a grandma of four and a great grandma of three. I am a retired Interior Designer. I worked in Corvallis in my profession for twenty-five years. I also had costume rental shop during this time. I opened my first shop in my home on Philomath Road. In 1965, I moved to Mt. View Dr. Corvallis and Joyce's Costume Place was born. The costume shop grew beyond my biggest dreams, so I took my good friend Mavis in as my partner. I have been in the costume business over 40+ years. I look forward to seeing all of our many customers again this year.
